From the Resumé

1980 – 1982, Audio Technician, Syracuse University Audio Services; WAER-FM.

Recorded, edited, duplicated, and distributed academic and promotional audio recordings. Produced six 30-minute slide shows for Syracuse University Alumni Association. Hung around the 16-track studio and asked a lot of questions. Collaborated with the WAER-FM (student) Program Manager and Music Director on instigating technical and musical trends. When the university administration decided to convert the station format from Jazz/Rock to News/Talk, and attempted to discard one of the nation’s largest and best college radio station record collections – shocking the conscience of music-lovers everywhere – we locked ourselves in the studio for a few days with a marathon on-air publicity stunt, which ended when the police eventually arrived and broke in to clear us out, after which our positions were terminated. Good times.
